Thomas D. Kimble, MD, FACOG is Assistant Professor and a member of the CONRAD clinical research team at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, Virginia.  Dr. Kimble received his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, Washington, D.C.  He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at York Hospital, York, Pennsylvania and his postdoctoral CONRAD Fellowship in Contraception at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is currently a Clinical Research Training Program (CREST) Scholar, a collaborative program between Duke University, the National Institutes of Health, and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Kimble enjoys teaching and is a lecturer for Eastern Virginia Medical School residents, medical students, and graduate students. He is also very active in both clinical and basic science research.  His clinical and research interests include reproductive medicine, contraception, reproductive immunology, abnormal uterine bleeding, uterine fibroids, and menopause. 

Currently, Dr. Kimble is the attending physician for the contraception clinic held weekly in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  This is primarily a consultation based clinic for women seeking contraception who have other medical problems.  He is also the Medical Director for Planned Parenthood of Southeast Virginia and volunteers there weekly holding office hours for family planning, contraception, gynecologic and STI care.
